With the proper framework, you win every challenge.

In the last 5 years, we tripled our sales.

We used a framework called Toyota Kata. Toyota used this system to become the biggest car producer in the world. They committed to a 30-years challenge to succeed.

With a long-term challenge, you need a trusted system.

Steve Jobs said:

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

Set a long term challenge

A challenge is a highly desired condition you can understand but don’t know how to reach.

It involves a deep change in your habits. You will be a different person.

You have to work with imagination to see your future self.

We set to reach $60M by the end of 2021.

Set the next desired condition

It is an outcome to reach in 2–6 weeks.

Set it in the direction of the challenge. You have a clear vision of how to achieve it and what to improve.

The first step was to make sales pitches for 3 potential customers worth $2M in the following month.

Focus on the next obstacle

The growth is not a linear path.

Instead is full of obstacles to eliminate.

List all the obstacles preventing you from reaching the next desired condition.

And schedule an experiment to remove the obstacle.

The first obstacle for us was to find a list of new potential customers.

The magic from Toyota Kata is: to reduce a Big Ambitious challenge to a trusted system to eat the elephant one bite at a time.
